Sep 4, 2013 Comments Off on Castle Harbour tumkins-hamOnce part of a larger mangrove swamp system (remnants of which we see today at Blue Hole Park), Castle Harbour was created over the ice ages from the effects of hurricanes and rising sea levels. Hamilton parish which lies to the west is linked to St. Georges parish by the Causeway which is a narrow strip of reclaimed land built in 1871.
