Recently we launched a new scholarship program. Its success requires the input and financial support of the residents of Hamilton Parish. Individuals, business and other organizations are invited to create scholarships, of any kind.

Each donor decides how their scholarship will be titled. Some donors may want to create scholarships in their name, or choose to remember someone who has touched their lives by creating a memorial or honor scholarship. What better way to honor the memory of a loved one or pay tribute to a special person than to create a scholarship or a program in their name. Memorial or honor scholarships may be funded annually or through an endowment.

We encourage all donors to contact us to ensure that your wishes are being satisfied as it relates to the funding of any type of scholarship. Donations are formally recorded in our Minutes, and properly recorded in our accounts which are submitted for audit yearly.

Applications are typically open to undergraduate students, residing in Hamilton Parish, who have been formally accepted to an accredited university or college. We will also consider students who want to pursue a post graduate degree. Scholarships will be based primarily on financial need and also academic merit.

All council members are made aware of all applications made, and all members are invited to contribute to the decision making process. Click here to view the constitution which details the rules surrounding the program.

Scholarships for studies commencing in September will generally be awarded in early August. For those interested in applying, we encourage you to submit your online application no later than May 31st.

All applications must be made through the Bermuda Scholarships website @ bermudascholarships.com
